About UGC-NET (National Eligibility Test)
UGC-NET is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor’, ‘appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.’ and ‘admission to Ph.D. only’ in Indian universities and colleges. The eligibility will be determined in the following manner:

- Assistant Professor : There is no upper age limit in applying for UGC-NET for Assistant Professor
- Admission to PhD : There is no upper age limit in applying for UGC-NET for Admission to PhD
Age Relaxation in compliance with the Recruitment Rules delineated by National Eligibility Test UGC-NET June 2024. candidates may qualify for age relaxation exceeding the conventional criteria. Such relaxation is contingent upon distinct conditions and is enforceable in accordance with the directives established by the competent recruitment authority.
Educational Eligibility
Passed / Appeared Master Degree in Concerned Subject with at Least Minimum 55% Marks for General Candidates and 50% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD/ Third Gender candidates.

Examination Scheme & Pattern
- The Examination shall be conducted in OMR Based (Pen & Paper) mode only.
- Each question carries 02 (two) marks.
- There is no negative marking for incorrect response.
- The medium of Question Paper shall be in English & Hindi only, except language papers.
