Selection Procedure
- Written Examination:
- Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests.
- Interview/Personality Test.
Service Allocation will be made on the basis of position in the Merit List and the Service Preferences, which will have to be indicated by the candidates at the time of filling up the Detailed Application Form before the Physical and Medical Standards Tests and the Physical Efficiency Tests.
Examination Scheme & Pattern
Written examination
The written examination to be conducted by Union Public Service Commission will be held on 04th August, 2024 and will comprise two papers. Paper I will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon and Paper II will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Interview/Personality Test : 150 marks
Candidates who are declared qualified in the Medical Standards Tests, will be called for Interview/ Personality Test to be conducted by Union Public Service Commission. The Interview/ Personality Test will carry 150 Marks.
Negative Marking Pattern : UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2024
- Candidates should note that there will be penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Paper.
- There are four alternatives for the answer to every question. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
- If a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer even if one of the given answers happens to be correct and there will be same penalty as above for that question.
- If a question is left blank i.e. no answer is given by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question
